Stirred it and noticed it was very soupy. So yes, I counted the noodles. I was extremely disappointed and of course this is the only box I bought 😭

Okay guys, you all gave me a good laugh. I’m glad some were as inconvenienced about this as I was. I did boil some elbow noodles and toss them in there. I did not make nachos or use bread, because my craving was the stupid Stouffer’s mac n cheese. For those mad about me calling them “noodles”, I don’t care. I will continue calling them noodles, be mad 🤣
I am considering contacting Stouffer’s QC, but also it was $5 and I’m fortunate enough to not be in a spot where $5 is a lot.

Over the last two weeks I sent 16 packages. All labeled correctly, all to different destinations within the US.

They have since retroactively billed me $50 for a hazmat fee on a non hazmat item, and lost 3 of the packages.

Is there any part of the federal government still functioning?

Especially customer support emails! Citibank has sent me about a dozen no reply emails and bot texts and calls in the last day over a late payment and yet they give me no way to send them a message in response outside of a chatbot on their website and no way to talk with a human, whenever I pick up their bot calls they hang up and when I don't they leave irritating automated voicemails.

I had a tattoo consultation scheduled about an hour from me without traffic. I don’t drive, so I asked a friend well over a week in advance if she could take me. I gave her the date, time and address, offered gas money and snacks, and made it very clear that saying no was completely fine because I could just plan to Uber instead.

She said yes, so I planned around having the ride.
The day of the consult, I even called earlier to confirm we were still good, which she said yes to.

Later I noticed rush-hour traffic was getting worse, so I tried calling her again to see if she could come a little earlier. No answer. I messaged my tattoo artist to warn her I might be running late, and thankfully she was understanding.

Then, around the time my friend was supposed to already be at my house, she finally called me from her own house, completely overwhelmed. She’d had a crazy day, traffic had put her behind, she’d been driving other people around, she wanted to go home and shower, work had been awful, etc.

And I do genuinely sympathize with all of that. My issue was: please tell me BEFORE the moment you’re supposed to pick me up.

If she’d called even 30–60 minutes earlier and said, “I can’t do this anymore, you need to Uber,” I would’ve said okay and ordered one. I specifically keep Uber as a contingency because I know nobody owes me transportation. By the time she called, though, an Uber was much more expensive because of rush hour and would have gotten me to the consult an hour late.

So while she was venting to me about how stressful her day had been, I was simultaneously checking Uber prices and ETAs and messaging the artist trying to figure out whether I could salvage the appointment. Luckily she was good about rescheduling.

The mildly infuriating part is that none of this needed to happen. I wouldn’t have been upset if she’d just said no in the first place. I wouldn’t even have been upset if she’d realized halfway through the afternoon that she’d overcommitted and called me then. It was waiting until pickup time that eliminated my ability to pivot to Uber.

Thankfully, I got extremely lucky. I didn’t lose my deposit or pay any additional fees, and when I went to the consultation the following week, she told me she’d actually been exhausted and hadn’t eaten all day on the original date. Rescheduling ultimately worked out better for both of us.

I got the tattoo afterward, everything went fine, and my friend actually picked me up after the tattoo without incident. We’re still friends. No dramatic friendship funeral occurred.

But I have now learned that for expensive, time-sensitive appointments, I’m just paying for the Uber from the beginning. Apparently “backup transportation plan” only works when you receive the crucial information before the backup plan also becomes impossible.

Blister packs, clamshells, that unholy plastic that doesn’t tear, doesn’t cut cleanly, and somehow manages to leave you with both a product and a deep sense of betrayal.

It’s not like the library police are actively checking the ID of everyone that goes in and out of the teen area, but why? What’s the use case for this?

Nineteen is a teen year. A 19 year old, while a legal adult, still is a teenager.

Twelve is not a teen year. It doesn’t end with the suffix teen. Twelve year olds aren’t teens.

Again, this is mildly infuriating, not extremely or hell even moderately infuriating. This sign isn’t actively harming anyone, but it’s still annoying that the library’s official policy allows them to kick a teenager out of a teen area based on age, yet a 12 year old cannot be removed from a teen area based on their age.

Call it the YA area if you want to have arbitrary age restrictions!
