I go out of my way to make sure people know I appreciate it when they hold a door for me but I feel like 50% of the time or more people NEVER say thank you when I hold the door open for them.

There’s no upside in confronting them over it but it still really pisses me off. Maybe more than it should

Can anyone share their own experiences around this or words of wisdom?

Can somebody explain to me why I literally can’t get lucky plugging things in at least once? Every time I go to plug in a random object I am hoping that another -no look- attempt will finally be the one. But nope!

Only when I purposely look at the dam thing does it ever match! I mean, coin flips are supposed to be close to 50/50 odds so why aren’t these dam things too? And before you start in with how this is more annoying than infuriating, I’m telling you it really makes me angry because I figure after 40 years of this nonsense, I should catch a break at least once in my life!

The meeting room is next to reception. I am meeting someone at reception to get the jug and cups, for water, which are kept in the reception cupboard. The person conducting the interviews apparently can’t meet the candidates themselves. Or print the paperwork off themselves. And the person at reception can’t meet the candidates either or take them to the room either? Even though they will check and sign them in as visitors to the building. Seems pointless to me? Do I have the right to be infuriated or annoyed about this? Am I the only one that sees how ridiculous this is?

It is not my money nor hers. In fact I wouldn't care about it at all if she needed a new phone but she only got it for that stupid burgundy color of that new iPhone.... Our phones are only 3 years old. It was more than enough for what she does (watch youtube, text and scroll all day).

This if anything is mildly infuriating.

We’ve lived next to these junkies for 8 years. Property management company refuses to do anything. Property owners are useless too.

Aside from their garbage, they let their dogs roam freely and they use our backyard for 💩 and one time one of them bit my partner and she had to go to Urgent Care.

Edit: we share a yard with them, this is between our two units so when we get home and park, this is technically in our shared yard. We rent, and so do they, however we have different landlords. I’m not calling them junkies because of their mess either, earlier this year I had to call an ambulance and save the woman’s life because she was ODing and trying to get to the narcan in her car when she fell and hit her head in our driveway.

My partner and I also have a 3.5 year old son, and have a great relationship with our landlords. This is mildly infuriating because those neighbors are our only complaint with our living situation.

I went to the gym on my bike as always, and ended up finding an annoying amount of e-scooters taking over the already-limited parking spots for bikes.

There are a few more spots not shown in the picture, but those were already taken by other bikes, which is annoying enough.

Looking up a recipe to cook this week. I can’t stand it when people describe their recipes like this. I don’t need you to describe a recipe like a smut film. Just tell me how to make gnocchi and mushroom sauce

I finally fell asleep but was having awful dreams about the dentist and felt like they were SO real. Sure enough I wake up confused and sweating to this sound outside my window that terrifyingly resembles a dentists drill.

Needless to say I don’t feel well rested as I sit here in the dentist waiting room.

Moral of the story is always brush and floss your teeth kids.

Edit: apparently it wasn’t clear to some that I am not “upset” at the sound of workers doing their job in the middle of the day, I’m rattled by how similar the sound is to the sound of a dentist’s drill while I’m trying to take a nap.
