I had been baking all day and went to take the trash out. I grabbed the bag by it's side instead of the handles, and got this immense pain in my thumb. Blood gushed everywhere. I believe I cut it on a can of pumpkin puree that I tossed. Had to go to the ER for stitches. They then reopened an hour later, and they had to redo two of them. I now have two ER bills, and am down a thumb for a few weeks.

I don’t follow the baking subreddit, but I get recommended baking content on a regular basis. I cook often and bake sometimes, so I am familiar with flour.
This post is making me unnecessarily mad because, though I understand it’s better to be safe than sorry:

1) THERE ARE NO BUGS IN THE FLOUR

2) THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT THERE ARE/WERE ANY SORT OF INSECT IN THE FLOUR

3) weevils in flour, though maybe gross, are generally harmless

4) the flour looks very normal and it is so obvious that it is the bran of the flour because of how evenly dispersed it is. OP did not note anything moving, any insect parts, any fecal matter, eggs—nothing. Just assumed it was bad because it wasn’t uniformly bleach white.

5) the mods removed a respectful comment not agreeing that the larger pieces of flour were weevils in the flour 😭… (last image)

6) all of the fear mongering comments are getting hundreds of upvotes

Oh and the “weevil” that everyone is freaking out about is in image 2, where the flour is pressed down so thin that the black background is showing through. ??? I feel like I’m going crazy.

I just got an email from YouTube saying my channel was permanently removed for “severe or repeated violations” of their spam, deceptive practices and scams policy.
I’m honestly completely confused.

This is my personal YouTube account. I haven’t uploaded anything in more than 2 years. I don’t make Shorts or posts, I barely ever comment (maybe 2-3 times a year), and I don’t sell or promote anything on YouTube. I literally just use YouTube to watch stuff, study, and listen to music.

I have YouTube Premium specifically because I use it for hours-long programming courses and YouTube Music.
Now I can’t access years of subscriptions, playlists I’ve carefully made, courses I was following, or my YouTube Music stuff.

I’ve already appealed, but I genuinely have no idea what could have triggered a spam/scam violation on this account.
Has anyone else had this happen? Did your appeal get accepted? I know this is some AI horsecrap that did it. I just can’t prove it yet.

My appeal was rejected. First of all they have no grounds to ban my account and they don’t even tell you what was wrong. The appeal got rejected instantly. I guess was an automated review. Their support pages are trash and they don’t reply on twitter.

I think it’s time, to simply cancel my premium subscription, delete the YouTube app, and touch grass I guess.

So I was looking at my tattoo and I just remembered this extremely infuriating situation that happened with my exes mom.

Important context: my mom died by suicide when I was 16

His mom was a “boy mom” and would actively talk sh*t on me in front of me. He didn’t know how to slice a pie and she went to go show him (he was 21) instead of him figuring it out, etc etc (who doesn’t know how to slice a pie??? At that big age???)

Anyways

Once, I tried to get her to like me by offering to bake my mom’s special cookie recipe together and she agreed after my ex begged her to. I got all the ingredients (I was very poor but wanted to make a good impression).
When we started, she completely disregarded the recipe and made them how SHE would like them. I repeatedly tried to kindly tell her that the recipe my mom made is absolutely DELICIOUS the way it is and to give it a shot… but she ruined it to the point where she was the only one who enjoyed the cookies (to this day I think she ate them to act like she didn’t f*ck up bc they genuinely sucked)

Anyways, that’s not the infuriating part yet

One day, we were all in the living room and topics of tattoos came up. I mentioned I designed my own tattoo in memorial for my mom (which they were more than aware of). I was asked what it was and I explained it would’ve been a certain word from a song she always sang to me in my childhood with a symbol that the word goes with above the word in a minimalist design (I said the song in the convo but keeping it private online), followed by a semicolon all in her handwriting.

A few months later, his mom texts the group chat a photo of a matching tattoo with his sister of that EXACT design without the semicolon…

I was FUMING. I broke tf down after everything she put me through, she then stole my memorial tattoo for my MOTHER who took her own life when I was a kid?? And to then match it with her daughter, something I would NEVER be able to do with my own mom??

What kind of disgusting trash does that?

To this day, I hate tf out of that b*tch and I hope the universe gives her what she’s put out one day.
