If you have never experienced or encountered this, then this won’t make sense but as a girl growing up, especially as a black girl, all my life I have heard older women in my family refer to little girls as “fast” basically saying they’re hoes, and only targeting little and teenage girls, it’s disgusting and still hear it and see it till this day thrown at younger girls. It makes me sick how much women are complicit in patriarchy & instead of calling out grooming and predatory men, they’d rather place the blame on fucking children. Or they use it to shame girls in puberty, if they get their period too early or get bigger boobs.

We don’t call out women enough in their harm against other women and girls. And the funniest shit, it’s always grown ass women saying this yet they’ll be crying about some man “playing” them at age 49. So your big, grown, adult, competent ass can be “manipulated” but a literal child can’t be groomed? Girl bye, you have the mindset and experience, they don’t, they’re not mentally developed. Same type of women who tell their daughters to wear shorts around their man, or say “boys will be boys”

Oh and they never call the boys “fast” they’ll praise their sons for having 45 bodies at age 17, calling him a ladies man and be okay with his porn addiction & mistreatment of girls. Now they’re on the internet policing how teenage girls dress meanwhile the same women was wearing apple bottoms jeans & whale tails to school in and having different colored bracelets to represent what sexual act they did on a guy in the 2000s, and yes i’m targeting a specific generation when i say this. but wanna shame us. Just continuing the cycle of misogyny & rape culture and it’s sad and sickening.

Satire does not mean "joking". It doesn't mean "sarcastic". Satire is a specific form of humor designed to criticize powerful or important things. It irks me to no end to see someone say "please let this be satire" when they mean "please be joking".

It's literally a place both a city (in Norway I think not sure) and religious and it's not even a swear it's an exclamation like crap(no crap is not a swear either get over it) or darn.

But why is Rick Grimes in the middle of the zombie apocalypse showing off his pearly whites? Why does Thor have freshly whitened teeth in prison in Thor: Ragnarok?

With the exception of maybe horror movies, or gag scenes involving dirty teeth, I can see the light shine off every surface of every actor's teeth. Every character just finished brushing, flossing, water-picking, mouth washing? Even after being in the woods for days, you took out your cleaning kit and freshened up?

I don't need dirty teeth, but fuck, give an actor a saltine to fill in those shiny gaps a LITTLE bit. Every actor in every scene of every show is ready for a professional photoshoot

It's a hold over from when I was a kid. That one room in the house that was all white or full of things that aren't supposed to get dirty but are expressly made for human use. Like, the guest towels in the bathroom, that i exclusively cleaned my hands on the back of.

I gave up on his work, and the thought of Alex cross I mean… the man I can imagine is gonna be so old he won’t die, might as well be immortal, and the continuous thing with the characters, is ridiculous… these authors I give up on, like Baldacci with Memory man and 6:15 Man… his King & Maxwell run was cool, but Patterson takes the cake with the continuity and the endless collabs for more cash grab ideas, especially now his wife is on the bandwagon, more cash grabbers. Patterson made reading feel like how most of the Kardashian fans watch The Kardashians, and SITC (Sex in The City), etc.

Any other book lover feel this way? Ik he’s 50/50, but in my book, now that he’s collabed with MrBeast, it’s gonna be a literal 30/70 for Patterson value… he’s not my kind of author with the unusual continuity of some series, and an almost repeat of his number series…
