Mims has not allowed a single pressure from Danielle Hunter, Will Anderson Jr, Bain and now TJ Watt this year so far.

It sucks to lose, especially to the Steelers, but there is no reason to get negative. These Bengals still have the potential to be the class of the AFC this year and dominate the division. We need to clean up... a lot, but the talent is undeniable on both sides of the ball. We caught a few bad breaks in this one and bad penalties broke us on multiple 3rd down stops.

The offense looks incredible, moving the ball with ease and scoring TD's once in the red zone. We are as good as anyone in the league and just need to stay healthy.

The defense shaky in this one, but its not as bad as it seems. Penalties really broke our back, specifically the roughing the punter call and the bullshit holding call on Tacario Davis. Both of those drives should have been stops.

Special teams lost us the game. You can't have a muffed punt and a roughing the punter on the road against a division rival and expect to win.

Something will always happen. Krumrie getting hurt. Montana finding Taylor with 10 seconds. Palmer getting his knee destroyed after throwing a dime. TJ Yates looking like Tom Brady. Dalton hurting his thumb while having an mvp caliber season. Jeremy Hill fumbling. Donald wrecking our 4th down. Ossai shoving Mahomes. I'm still here after all the misery but I'm a realist even if hope springs eternal. That is all. Carry on

Games that looked like Sunday’s 30-27 loss in Pittsburgh are littered across the Bengals’ schedule over three consecutive seasons outside the playoff picture.

This team was supposed to be different. Losses like this were supposed to be eliminated in an offseason of adding players with rings and building on continuity across all levels of the organization.

Through two weeks, those changes appeared to take hold. The fact the Bengals hit AFC North play for the first time and reverted to their former selves should raise a flag of concern inside Paycor Stadium.

“Self-inflicted,” Joe Burrow said. “Like last week with penalties, we just can’t shoot ourselves in the foot like that. You can’t win in this league when you do that. It’s really hard. It’s really hard. We could have overcome it, but it’s really hard to win like that.”

This has always been the problem for the last 8 years. The reason we went to the Super bowl was because all Joe knew how to do was win. Zac Taylor taught Joe how to lose... That's all he has to teach because it's all he knows. Who cut Charlie Jones for Wilson? 4th quarter 2 minutes left who can't get the first play in after the Steelers kick the ball to us? Who calls the dumbest plays at the worst times? The team is doing great it just needs leadership. Look at other great teams. Look how the Lions turn things around. Watch the Jets do the same. These teams have real coaches with real leadership that players can get behind. I only see one problem with this team and it's the guy that was 2-14 his first year and should have been fired then.

I’ve been taking classes with people from different parts of the country, and I usually wear a Bengals hat. There are quite a few people from Pennsylvania in my class, and up until now we have barely talked about football at all.

Then I came in this morning and, for whatever reason, every Steelers fan suddenly had something to say.

“You guys suck.” “Your team is irrelevant.” “How many Super Bowls have you won?” “What was with those two guys colliding?”

None of this came from an actual football conversation. They just saw the Bengals hat and started in.

This is exactly why I have historically had a hard time with Steelers fans. You cannot just be a fan of another team around some of them without them feeling compelled to berate you. There is normal rivalry trash talk, and then there is going out of your way to start talking crap to someone who was not even discussing football with you.

Today was a pretty good reminder of why that fanbase has always rubbed me the wrong way.

First of all, no we’re not going to dox the special teams coach.

Now let’s take some deep breath’s, in through our nose and out of our mouth. Repeat that for as long as you need to do it so the rage you’re currently feeling goes away.

Now that you’ve calmed down, let’s look at the bright side: we’re 2-1 and we’re back home this weekend. Sometimes you need an ugly loss to snap yourself out whatever delusional thinking you are currently engaged with at the moment. Yes, losing to the Steelers makes you want to smash your sofa with a baseball bat, but that’s not going to do anything to change what happened yesterday. We’re going to take our pent up anger and focus on the TAS ahead of us.

I had a feeling this was going to go the way it did. The Steelers always seem to have their get back right game against us. Divisional games are always tough, but I was worried the defense was going to have their heads a little too high from the first two weeks and underestimate the Steelers offense who has struggled to get going. These games happen and we got in our own way especially on special teams, I’m not overreacting but I do hope this is a wake up call.

No point dwelling on this, but I see too much hate on Ke'Shawn Williams. Muffs happen, but this is 100% the bigger fuck up. Just lay on it, don't try to be a hero.

I’m sorry but this discourse that’s happening would make sense if somehow this game was indicative of something bad happening. It wasn’t. Special teams missteps? Happen. Good defenses getting torched? By a division rival that has proven it knows how to torch you? See it every other week. Qb gives the game away at the end? Tale as old as time. It is WEEK. 3. We have a winning record, a defense that is definitely more respectable than usual, and an offense that can go up and down the field when they aren’t even playing their best. I’m not even kidding I saw someone asking to TRADE BURROW (🤮) for better defensive pieces and roll with Flacco. Please. Calm the f down. Our first loss got us acting like this?

The Bengals defeated the Bengals today. So disappointing to see the players who played well today's effort be all for naught due to those who seemed lethargic, lost, and undisciplined. Seems like half the D stayed back in Cincinnati.

This will be one of the few poor performances from the special teams and defense this season. In a way, this loss may have been a small blessing.

Burrow and Co. are only a week or two from their final, dominant form. His thousand yard stare at the end of the game may have sped up the process. I wouldn't be surprised if we go 5-1 during these next six games, early bye week be damned.

We did everything possible to lose this game today, and we still almost took the win.

We have nothing to fear. Believe, my wayward fans.

These are the most important games of the year. Unacceptable.

Burrow deserves some criticism for this loss. Can’t fumble in that situation. But why are we acting like he’s the most anti-clutch QB in history. Sure, he’s not Tom Brady/Pat Mahomes clutch. But he’s certainly not a scrub. Both things can be true.

I don't think Barrett Carter is really that LB that the Bengals want to become their starting LB. Then Battle is always inconsistent. Still showing his weakness. I don't think he's going to get re-sign next season.
