Going for it on 4th down was the right choice.

If we get it, we win.

If we do not get it. Panthers win with a touchdown, tie with a field goal

If we kick a field goal. Panthers still win with a touchdown.

It is harder for them to get a touchdown from the 15 vs a kick-off. Given that no matter what, the Panthers win with a touchdown and we would need our defense to shut them down, I liked going for the win.
