I can't remember the name of this game I used to play on PS4. It had a sci fi/post apocalypse setting and you could choose between several robots to play as, each one had different abilities. There was a hub area where you upgraded stuff and unlocked parts to use in creating mazes.

The gameplay was split between a sort of Mario maker mode where you built a maze and set traps to protect a power source at the middle of the maze. Other players could attempt to get through your maze and the ones that died would leave behind a currency you could use to upgrade your robot and other stuff.

The other half of the gameplay was exploring other people's mazes and trying to make it out alive.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Help pls

I came across this a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty cool and probably pretty rare. However since looking into it ive found it almost impossible to find any info on this game trailer?? I was able to find out that it was a pre order bonus given out by Circuit City to people who preordered Spider-Man 2 The Game(2004). However I found it odd that there was almost no information about this online? If this game/trailer really is that rare then what do you think its value would be? Im really struggling to figure out if this is something that is super rare and may hold a ton of value or if its just a forgotten relic that no one cares about? Any help in finding more info on this game/trailer or what its potential value could be would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask but it is a question about video games.

So I was wondering if there’s a better way to have my collection setup for easy access to the discs? So I have a single shelf filled with my game cases and that means everything is stacked front to back. So if I want a specific game and I don’t know where it is, I have to basically pull everything off my shelf till I find it and then vice versa.

My question; is there other ways to have better access to my discs? I thought about those CD binder cases but my friend said they scratch the discs and don’t come in big sizes. Any ideas and recommendations are very welcome.

What genre or even series fandom is likely to be in the best shape? First assumption would be sports games because they are often played by former athletes and former athletes sometimes keep up with fitness post playing. But there could be some sleeper cell of Balatro players that are just jacked

So I just got to Ganon’s castle in A Link to the Past using Nintendo Switch Online it got me thinking. The games difficulty for me was largely different than those that played on original hardware with the added ability to rewind and create save slots. As a Gen Z member, I imagine not many kids in the neighborhood getting as far as I have let alone owning an SNES. With the lack of online video sharing, many kids weren’t able to know how the game ends due to the sheer amount of difficulty and time required to get that far.

Have you gone to or hosted any get-togethers to watch how games ended with your friends? How were video games experienced by those in the community who were interested, but couldn’t afford a console?

I imagine the hype leading up to the viewing and the discussions about it afterwards being immaculate. Or the player being the one person who sees each story beat and them passing it along to their friends as if it were a legend, right before the ending. Nowadays, people immediately turn to go online after a movie or game ends to hear others opinions. How was it back then?

So i have a question regarding the Witcher 3 remastered edition. Now I already have a copy on my ps5, out of curiosity how much does it cost for the upgrade of the remastered version if you already own a copy?

Side note: yes I’m well aware of the irony of everything I just wrote but I’m not looking to get into an argument regarding that.

I always loved boom beach troops mechanic, where if they didn't die during a battle they would return to your base.

I've found that it is extremely rare as a mechanic, I understand why, if you need to re-tain all the troops that you've deployed then you're more likely to spend purchasable only in game currency to speed up the process, but it's incredibly frustrating.

So I ask you this: do you know some other games that have this "troop returning post battle if they survive it" mechanic, or at least have an actual term/tag that I could look up?

It doesn’t look broken, but it looks utterly sterile.
The hand-tuned cinematic contrast and punchy neon edges from the rasterized build got completely washed out by a uniform layer of muddy, diffused bounce light. It’s like they stripped the gritty visual identity just to claim physically accurate lighting.
Why the hell did modern gaming decide that smeared denoiser artifacts, fake generated frames, and glowing puddles are worth gutting a game's deliberate lighting design for?

(I haven’t played any Souls games. I am a working adult and barely have time to play games. I prefer story based games that are moderate in difficulty. I do not have time for soul like games where you keep on dying for hours in order to figure out the bosses moves. I prefer games that you can lock into after a heavy day at work. Eg. Resident Evil 9, God of War Ragnarok, Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk etc.

So do you think Onimusha is worth giving a shot or do you think it will be too tough for my likeness?

Not even mentioning it didn't need the remaster.

It doesn't look worse but it looks different and not in a good way.

It's like they took a piece of the soul from the game to make it look crisper.

Hi, I don't know if this is the right sub to ask in, but I really don't know where else I could.

My father absolutely hates video games; he considers them practically the worst thing in the world.

My parents got divorced, and I went to live with my father.

He has strictly forbidden me from bringing any gaming devices (I own a Nintendo Switch and a gaming PC); the only device I have for “gaming” is my mobile phone.

I love video games; they were a part of my childhood and have been a passion of mine since I was little.

I tried talking to him about it, and he flew into a rage, accusing me of wanting to do nothing all day long (for context, I’m 19 and actively looking for a job).

Is anyone else in the same situation? If so, can you give me some advice on what to do?

29 games. Same publisher. One day. All early access, all with the same opening spiel about involving the community.

Apparently the community’s role is to shovel through this crap until an actual game turns up.
