With the upcoming PVP tournament it's extremely clear that streamers will still be "buying" gold and ruining the economy in forever, unless blizzard actually shows they are serious about the commitment to ban gold buyers

Blizzard needs to show that they actually care if it's already this blatant on the beta then it will be even worse when the game goes live

There is no proof that Ziqo himself bought any of the gold, but whether it's him or his viewers doing the crime on his behalf the effects are the same, and they should both be punished

Aggrend literally promised that they will aggressively punish gold buyers and now is a golden opportunity to publicly prove it. Watch them do nothing. Life has been really bad. watching aging parents who its hard to see struggle and are in so much pain, the first thing my dad says when i wake up isnt "good morning" its get me my pills.

I have no friends anymore since they all moved away and have good jobs. I cant get a good job because all the jobs i wanted to do i am too old for now. I was in the army, but i should have stayed in.

WoW forever gave me something to look forward to. My old friends texted me finally after years asking to play wow again. I can't wait to log in on the 4th and play wow again with my friends. it will be nice to be part of something :).

I've sat at my desk all morning worrying about the lack of Shamans on Alliance.

My boss can tell something is wrong but he wouldn't dare interrupt my thinking time.

The relics for the cat from quest have the same issue as the stopwatch in westfall. If more than 1 person tries to loot it at the samme time it gives the "there is no loot" error.

Some greifers have set up bots spamming one of the relics. I've not seen anyone complete the quest in over 12 hours.

We've been unable to get the bots flagged for pvp or create a new layer. Just waiting on blizz to implement a fix now :(

I personally hated always having to do /who on each person to see whether or not they are close to the dungeon. It turns out the client already loads that information internally for each entry, but doesn't display it, so I made an addon that does. Enjoy!

The creation of the addon was AI-assisted. It's extremely light weight, only 45 lines of code.

Blizzard mentioned that people caught buying gold will receive a ban. So the first step to attempt to circumvent it would be. Buy gold on a level 1 fresh account and send/trade to a different account.

So if blizz flags that as well, which they obviously should, would that also flag streamers?

I keep seeing people talk about layering (devs included) as if it is the same thing we had in classic. Layering, as a concept, was the idea that an ENTIRE continent was a single layer and housed a certain number of people.

What we have in wow forever is simply sharding/CRZ (cross-realm-zones). This is a different "layer,zone" per individual leveling area. This is what came into retail wow, and is why when you switch zones you phase away. Layering was created with the sole intention of preventing the EXACT situation happening now between zones.

It is abhorrent, immersion-breaking, and needs to go. Bring true layering back.

And if they ARE using layering, then you should NEVER layer someone on zone transition; especially automatically without that new prompt.

Probably my second biggest gripe in retail past flying mounts is that the world isn't continuous. Seeing people and even mobs pop in and out on zone switches is about as immersion breaking as if every zone just had a big portal you stepped through to get to the next zone. Hell, at least the portals would make sense.

Edit: I am seeing people here and otherwise claim I'm making up layering being "whole continents." Or maybe not being familiar with the original intention of layering.

Wow forever will be bigger that retail butbr/wow is still in denial

Blizzard stated that anyone who buys gold in WoW Forever will receive a permanent ban from all their games on said account.

Bots and gold sellers / are already active in Forever Beta access. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's true, and it says a lot about what it's going to be like on the actual live release.

What is their "amazing" opportunity?

I really like some of these streamers, however, people seeing them get away with such blatant RMT is just going to embolden a lot of people to do the same. On the other hand, it might sound harsh, but they are the best targets to make an example of.

They just got handed the best possible way of dealing with this: Make a statement that they actually meant it, boot all the streamers from the Beta who bought gold, and give them their "second chance" at launch.

This is the only time they can do this. After the release, you will either have to deal with the public outrage over preferential treatment or losing your content creator that promotes your game.
Acting on it now and ending it with a slap on the wrist just because it's "beta access", you technically can get away with it all.

Basically the perfect "have your cake and eat it too" situation. Sending out huge messages through banning streamers, and still benefiting from them after launch.

TL;DR: Blizzard has a unique opportunity to enforce its RMT rules during Beta. Remove streamers who bought gold from the Beta, make it clear that RMT has consequences, then let them start fresh at launch. It sends a strong message without permanently banning them, and avoids the appearance of giving streamers preferential treatment.

For people saying why not just perma, sorry to tell you but Blizz will not ban their big streamers who do most of their advertising for free. My idea could show an example while being something that is in the realm of possibility of them doing.

Streamers should be cautious of taking handouts. You will never be able to prove if it was a huge fan or just a goldseller bot, or a huge fan who bought the gold. You need to draw a line somewhere.

Make PvP Townraids an alternate honor farm. Quests to raid enemy towns, with actually big rewards. Ultimately culminating in a quest to kill the enemy faction leader. Give said faction leaders actual boss mechanics and make them pvp-worldbosses with powerful unique loottables. Maybe weeklies to go in and do certain objectives in enemy settlements and towns. Imagine poisoning supplies as a forsaken for example.

Let Zone Identity Extend to the Gear We Find the one thing I look forward to is getting to around level 10-15 as a Rogue and eventually getting the Defias facemask.

• Kobold Candle hat - a literal melted candle on your head! shouldn't have stats should be a fun cosmetic / Lightsource.

There are so many ideas I just thought of these but every zone has so much character / cool items we see on NPCS or even new items created should be "Zone" specific they are unique and interesting.

This should be applied everywhere! I only used Westfall as an example.
