I know the total points allowed doesn’t look great (24, 37, 31). But the eye test and number of drives tell a vastly different story.

Week 1 vs PHI - Allowed 4 scoring drives on 11 possessions (excluding kneel downs)

Week 2 vs DAL - Allowed 7 scoring drives on 8 possessions. This game was really bad as we had nothing for Dak and his receivers. Honestly could have been worse but our offense actually killed clock and moved the ball, just left too many points off the board.

Week 3 vs SEA - Allowed 5 scoring drives on 13 possessions. Including 3 TOs that led to 21 points, they played very well.

The PHI and SEA games had a large number of possessions compared to a typical NFL game because our D (and our offense) had a lot of quick 3 and outs.

This is light years better than Joe Whitts turnstile defense where we would go entire halves and even games without a single defensive stop. Let Daronte cook!

Absolute shocker of a dub. A season and HC saving dub. 1-2 never felt so good, type of dub. Shoutout to the coordinators, Sonny Styles, General Mariota, Sclarence Terrence, Kainine Medrano, and Amik Dog Ass Robertson. If we can somehow beat Indy, we could be sitting unfathomably nice with Jameis at home and the possibility of having JD back.

I still think we are an undisciplined team (so many penalties) and it’s really gotta get better for any shot at a decent season. However, hopefully the turnover pump has been primed because it’s been a long drought.
