Let's look at it from a clear lens detailing the war crimes committed by Israel. (I also in no way condone what happened to Israel on October 7th. It was horrendous and also clearly violated laws and much more.)
But what bothers me, and many other is thelat the "proportionality" of the réponse is not in Israel's favor.

There has been clear and documented ostruction of humanitarian aid (Articles 55 & 59), whereas the occupying power has an absolute duty to ensure the population receives food, water, medicine, and shelter relief from humanitarian aid. This has been breached countless times.
Acticle 49 has been breached as well, as it strictly prohibits the individual or mass forced transfer of protected persons in occupied territory. While a military may evacuate an area for civilian security, it must ensure proper accommodation, hygiene, health, and safety. Simply by looking at google maps, but also from videos and photos on the ground, this has absolutely been a disaster for the people of that region that Israel is occupying. Literally the apocalypse for those civilians.
Article 33 in regards to collective punishment. This convention states that no protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed. This by cutting off power, water, and levelling 100s of city blocks into rubble, the people of the region being occupied have been absolutely punished in a way that does not take into account this article.
Now I will anticipate some of the rebuttals, such as that Hamas used the people, the cities, the region, and that international law does allow for the proportional, keyword PROPORTIONAL, harm of civilians to gain certain military advantages. However, we, and anyone looking at a map, can agree, that this has absolutely not been achieved proportionality.
As well, any inherit right to self defence again needs to adhere to these conventions, otherwise yes, we can absolutely call it a war crime. It is war crime, and they are committing war crimes.
