it went from being a fanfic, to an actual published novel, to a movie

the original fanfic ship was reylo, starring daisy ridley as rey, and now the movie adaptation of that fanfic stars tom bateman, who is daisy ridley’s actual husband in real life

and the main antagonist in the book is named tom benton which i found funny
