This is a memorial ring I had made in memory of my dog who sadly passed away 18 months ago.

The diamonds on the side represent my husband and me (ovals) and the 4 rounds represent our kids, we are hugging the blue diamond which represents my forever missed and much loved dog 😭 who we had 12 beautiful years with.

You cant see very well but his name is engraved on the inside.

I found this ring at an antique store, but it's all new with lab grown diamonds. I think it's so unique! It's a little snug, but the jeweler can size it for me. Is it too big for my finger? The center diamond approximately 1c.

I just got this pair of asscher cut stones and they are being set in heavy weight 14k white gold screwback studs. Here are the specs: 1.03ct, VS1, E, 5.56x5.48x3.65 and 1.04ct, VVS2, E, 5.55x5.52x3.76 I am so excited to see the final set. When i first got my ears piece many year ago i had silver studs with CZ asschers and I missed how they shined they were just perfect. I finally treated myself and got a real pair. I paid about $900.00 USD all in. Do we think I got a good deal? I will update with a photo of the finished stuffs when I receive them.

So I made my original post about 6 months ago before we decided what to change my stone to. I was thinking a moissanite, since my (NOW!!! 🥹🥹 got married 09/17 so so happy) husband and I would be paying for the ring ourselves on top of the wedding by itself at the time.

Well, I work in a jewelry store - nothing too too fancy, just one of the places inside the mall! So I asked my boss if we could look for one through a vendor of ours and she said “well, if you’re looking at a moissanite, for a little bit more you might as well get a lab”. Then it was decided. Lab it was!

The great thing was that once we found the stone, my boss was sweet enough to pay for it and set it for me as a wedding gift!

I am so so so happy I made the change! Love my ring even more!!

My original ring had a 3.13-carat yellow sapphire. After losing it, I ordered another yellow sapphire, but the replacement just wasn’t the same (I returned it).

I eventually decided to try a lab-grown yellow diamond and ordered a 4.10-carat Fancy Intense Yellow oval from Brilliance. The color was beautiful, but after seeing it on my hand, I realized I wanted something with more presence.

I found a larger diamond on their website, but when I called, the representative explained that its undertone probably wouldn’t match the beautiful yellow color I loved in the 4.10-carat stone. She recommended another diamond in the size range I wanted: an 8.06-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow, VS2 oval.

Before ordering, I searched the IGI report number to see whether the exact same diamond was listed elsewhere for less. I eventually found it on another website, but it was approximately $300 more than the discounted price Brilliance offered me. My order also included a complimentary pair of lab-grown diamond studs, so I decided to purchase it through Brilliance.

Now I’m anxiously waiting for the new stone to arrive! Brilliance has been responsive and helpful throughout my exchanges, but some of the reviews online still make me nervous.

Has anyone recently purchased a loose diamond from Brilliance? What was your experience with the diamond and the company?

I'm posting two photos here: a screenshot of my IGI report showing the inscription graphic (which says "Sample Image Used"), and a macro shot I took of the actual laser inscription on my diamond's girdle.

​My first question is about the IGI photo itself: Does "Sample Image Used" mean it's a generic stock image they use for all reports, or is it an actual sample picture taken of my specific diamond?

​If it is indeed a picture of my stone, I would love to ask for a forensic comparison from the experts in this community. Could someone analyze and compare both photos to validate its authenticity? I am specifically looking for an analysis on:

1) ​The inscription details: Font style, kerning/spacing, and the size/proportions of the black background strip.

2) ​The diamond's physical traits: The facets, edges, and shadows visible on the girdle around the inscription.

3) ​Positioning: The exact placement of the engraving, taking any potential parallax error from the camera angles into account.

​Are there any gemologists, appraisers, or forensic experts here who could validate this method and perform this kind of visual analysis? I know GIA has AI for inscription matching, but since IGI doesn't, I’m hoping to rely on the trained eyes here.
