Vent and rants Why did I go there again. Spoiler
I really hate the AI discourse now because of what's happening. I'm even conflicted that if AI should be incorporated in art. Obviously, it's mostly bad, because of how unethical it is. AI uses 4.6 billion cubic meters of water, and to add onto that, in the US, data centers are placed near areas with scarce water sources. Obviously, that's bad. But what I hate is how split the internet is about AI. There's pro vs anti, and it's pretty much a so-called "echo chamber" there. I'm now pretty conflicted about using AI or not, except for the obvious ethics of AI. It's still complicated, though.
What I'm venting here could be stupid, but if I hadn't gone back there, I wouldn't have gotten a trigger about AI, whether it's from pros or antis. I shouldn't generalize, but most of what I see on REDDIT, yes, REDDIT is just each side shouting back at each other. I, myself, feel conflicted about it. This is why I wanna disassociate myself from the discourse and NEVER see any negative discussion about pros or antis. I'd still talk about AI, but I feel like I get stabbed or something when either pro or anti says an insult.
I don't wanna label myself as either pro or anti, and sorry if this vent is somehow stupid or seeks attention. I just wanted to get this out of my heart.
