Lululemon founder Chip Wilson is going through a divorce after more than two decades of marriage, and reports say he and wife Shannon "Summer" Wilson never signed a prenup. His fortune is estimated at roughly $6 billion, but a straight 50-50 split is not automatic under British Columbia law because property owned before the marriage can be treated differently from wealth gained or appreciated during it.
Shannon was also part of Lululemon's early story, joining as its lead designer before the company became a global brand. The couple married in 2002, four years after Chip founded Lululemon, meaning the eventual settlement could come down to how their assets grew during the marriage.
