over the couple days our developer(Gohdkhi) has been working hard to make this thing work functionally.

personally, speaking he has done something that i've never seen before and i'd say i'm proud of it.

the first time me and my original team aka Overlord Modding Team, had made the first mods of Helldivers 2 together with DDZ, Demheadshotz, Khamelion and many others. Now, i'm helping Gohdkhi on making one of the first additional content to HD2, it makes me feel nostalgic i'm proud to be a part of the Modding scene to contribute to it with my modelling skills in any shape or way.

I just want to say that: please remember this is a VERY WIP and VERY EARLY ALPHA, what you see might change in future as time goes on.

some features are not yet added as well and we still have a long way to go about this and hopefully, we'll inspire more people to expand the game more and more to create stuff.

Rotate tank turret 360

obviously this tank isnt 'anti infantry'

an anti infantry vehicle would be able to reliably deal with infantry at all ranges in any direction, hence a rotating turret with a higher elevation to allow it to look down, you know... to target infantry that may get close.

that being said, i can forgive that much. i can forgive the idea that they refitted a bastion to fire gatling guns and call it a day

would you make that turret

something you have to reload

just set it up so its all one system that feeds into the main gun

you could at least make the argument "oh it cant fit all that in the turret at once" if the turret could rotate because i could maybe believe it would cause some issues with the feeding system if it did

actually, no. you can't even really make the argument even if it WAS a rotating turret because the bastion itself is fucking massive yet the main gun only holds 300 rounds before needing to reload, meanwhile THE FUCKING EXOSUIT HOLDS 1350 AND DOESNT NEED TO RELOAD AT ALL, WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE IS THIS, WHO DESIGNED THIS?! it is basically just same 360 turret with now working moving texture of said turret

(the solo tank driver is different mod not included in the turret traversal tho)

Arrowhead may be the most embarrassing game studio ever, it's insane just how undeserving they were of helldivers 2 in the first place.

I think this whole situation has also exposed (even more blatantly than before) how dishonest they and their glazers are about why things couldn't be done. Literally all of these fixes and changes were SO EASY MODDERS COULD DO IT.

It's actually baffling how little of a shit they give about helldivers 2. They need a massive change of leadership ASAP or their entire studio is cooked because we all know their next projects are going to flop impossibly hard now that they've earned a "bungie" level reputation for themselves.

edit - And to add, I really hope the devs who have talent at AH (and there are clearly some devs with incredible talent and vision who are being held back) find a less dogshit studio to work for.

That was a mod which automates stratagem input, it's still on Ayaka - for now:

This mod does absolutely nothing but help those that have issues with inputting all those key codes all the time - which IS a real thing for people with certain disabilities.

All it does is arrange the stratagems in a neat wheel menu and inputs the code of the chosen stratagem when clicked.

Some people can't see and have to squint at the lil' arrow icons every time they use them, especially when there's a lot going on.

Some people have trouble memorising the inputs.

Some people have trouble physically inputting the codes, or doing them fast enough to not get ragdolled to hell by some enemies while they do.

Some people have control schemes that clash with inputting the stratagem codes.

For example, the default bindings for mouse & keyboard force you to STAY STILL while inputting stratagems. Obviously, that's often a very bad situation to be in during any dive that isn't just a farming run.

All this mod does is help people and make their life easier, while having absolutely ZERO impact on any balance or other players experience - if anything, it improves it, since the player using it will most likely be less likely to get shot to hell while trying to call stratagems.

I have yet to hear a compelling and logical argument for banning that kind of mod.
And please don't bring up security reasons, people should act responsibly when downloading things to their device.
Also, this is NEXUS, a modding hub NOT officially linked to Arrowhead or even Sony, deciding to ban these mods.

Like seriously you cant expect everyone to know the constellations or whatever just give us an icon telling us what seed we are fighting if you dont want people to have a jack of all trades loadout

Arrowhead wants money and a much more loving fan base yes? then they should do monetizing for the most requested features that could increase player engagement and actually playing the game even though they will absolutely will not care about this just like other community posts

TRANSMOG

unlock either EVERYTHING in the war bond so you can’t just eat around the bone for the good stuff, it would be grindy BUT you can now permanently have something like concussive padding on a “better looking armor” like Devastator, or you could need only need to unlock the important stuff like weapons, helmets, capes, armor, and stratagems, also yes the armor perks would be locked to their own armor level (light, medium, heavy,)

MECH CUSTOMIZATION

about as simple as the trans mog idea, you would have to unlock everything in the warbond with the mech stuff and get to use it and upgrading the ship parts like robotics would give you more parts to work with

Note: sorry if this is a lil dry, didn’t have much but you SHOULD get the general concept of the “greedy route”

Arrowhead, for years now, have refused to add anything that violates their vague design space and grunt fantasy philosophy, and seem to take an almost antagonistic role to people disagreeing with their design, and yet, continue making warbonds that trivialize the game and enemies that almost require you to take the new war-bonds.

The mods that do minor things and a majority of people believing them to be good additions is proof enough that arrowhead is actively damaging their game with their mule-headed dedication to ensuring people only play the game the way they want it.

People want to play on the high ground? done, and people are learning it doesn't, in fact, make the game piss easy. People want armor that can be however they want it to look? done, and it means you can pick and choose your favorite drip forever. People want the basics of a loadout slot like every fucking game that has a large variety of weapons? done, and it saves the haste of having to re-build for every single mission. etc, etc, etc.

Reminder, it's not that arrowhead is delaying these things, it's that they don't want you to have them because it conflicts with some unrevealed design philosophy. Arrowhead will not listen to you because they don't care what people want and they have NEVER cared what people want, at most, they've only cared if things start affecting their money.

Keep making mods that fly in the face of what arrowhead wants, because they will never care to add small QoL if it would interfere with whatever stupid ass design philosophy they have. we the people only stand to gain from this, and if they shut modding down, they'll have a hell of a storm arriving straight to their mailbox.

Incase anyone was interested to see if these two mods work with each other. I usually have a buddy that I play with and we tank together (me as the driver and him as gunner) so this will definitely be more interesting to tank with now I don’t need to worry about horrific terrain conditions to get good angles

For those who are having trouble keeping up, the MO was previously a specific type of tank and “Chargers”, AKA the basic type of Charger and not the variants. This was changed, which is a good thing and to Arrowhead’s credit, they amended the issue quickly.

I’m genuinely begging the community:

If a proper Helldivers-like competitor ever comes out, please support the hell out of it.

Even if it’s basically a Helldivers clone. I don’t care. Support it.

Not because we want Helldivers to fail, but because Arrowhead needs some real competition.

I want them to look at another game and think:

"Oh shit, people are actually leaving for this. We need to step up."

A strong competitor could push Arrowhead to innovate and fix long-standing issues.

Don't kill Helldivers. Give it some competition.
